About Bosun's Locker

We're David and Alena, and we created Bosun's Locker out of pure necessity, and a healthy dose of frustration.

Every summer, we sail our boat Dip My Toes through the Greek islands with our 4-year-old son. It should be the perfect family adventure: crystal-clear waters, ancient harbors, and endless sunshine. But too often, we found ourselves hunched over manuals in cramped boat spaces, frantically searching for answers when something inevitably broke.

Picture this: You're in a beautiful anchorage, something breaks at the worst possible moment, and you're desperately searching through manuals while trying to manage everything else that comes with boat life. Sound familiar?

We realized we were spending more time managing our boat than actually enjoying it. That's when we decided to build the tool we desperately needed: something that would let us quickly find answers, track what we'd already fixed, and stay organized without the paper chase.

Bosun's Locker is our solution for every sailor who's ever thought, "There has to be a better way to do this." We built it for parents trying to sail with kids, solo sailors managing everything alone, and anyone who wants to spend more time exploring and less time troubleshooting.

Because at the end of the day, we're all out there for the same reason: the freedom, the adventure, and those perfect moments when everything just works.
